3rd Week

Hi,

This week was kind of slow for me.

Monday I had a two jobs from same client. My supervisor print put request form from the client and gave it to me. But there were not size preferences and lack of informations. So we called to the client to make sure all the information and purpose for that ad.

They did not pick up and call us back even though we left voice message. So I did not have nothing too do. I was doing web tutorial.

By the way, last week my supervisor asked me to help building photo tour of HCC on flickr. Now it's on HCC website.

Second Week

Hi,

In this week I created 2 things. First thing was brochure and flyer for Northeast campus.

Second thing was spanish ad for spanish newspaper. I had to make three different sizes which looks same and use same sources. It was very practical and gave me new idea to create ad.

It was first job I had to choice images by my self. After I created and got approval from my supervisor, I sent it to client. He requested me to change pictures which shows Automotive class or Health class. So I chose other images and sent them back.

I have learned many things from this internship.

First Week!!

Hello!

I started Internship with Houston Community College Communication Office. My first day, Wednesday, I watched web tutorial about InDesign. After that I recreated a flyer. My supervisor gave me all resources for it and I just put them together and change font size using paragraph style. It was first time I use Paragraph style. It was very efficient tool.

Second day, Thursday, I recreate a brochure for practice. After this My supervisor asked me to design flyer according to another brochure which is informing about Golf event. He gave me images and paragraph I use, so I create layout. There are so many information I need to put, and those were very tiny letter. difficulty was that it looks busy and hard to read them. So I changed the font from light to Bold. Also a image for background, change transparency from 50% to 20%. Therefor it seems good.
